أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ، أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: اشْتَدَّتِ الْجِرَاحَاتُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ فَشَكَوْا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَثْرَةَ الْجِرَاحَاتِ، فَقَالَ: " احْفِرُوا، وَأَوْسِعُوا، وَأَحْسِنُوا، وَادْفِنُوا الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالثَّلَاثَةَ فِي قَبْرٍ، وَقَدِّمُوا أَكْثَرَهُمْ قُرْآنًا "، وَرَوَاهُ عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّهْمَاءِ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ.
Sa'd bin Hisham bin Amir reports from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the battle of Uhud we suffered many wounds, and the people complained of their wounds, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Dig graves, make them wide and well, bury two or three in one grave, and put the one who has more Qur'an first in the grave."
