أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ مَعِينٍ، وَذَاكَرْتُهُ يَعْنِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ، فَقَالَ يَحْيَى: لَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ إِلَّا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، قَالَ يَحْيَى: وَلَا أَظُنُّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ إِلَّا غَلَطًا.
Abbas bin Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I discussed this hadith with Yahya bin Ma'in (may Allah have mercy on him), and he said: No one narrated it as marfu' (from the Prophet) except Yahya bin Adam. And he considers this hadith to be a mistake.
