أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ، أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ وَاقِفًا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ لَهُ بِعَرَفَةَ فَوَقَصَتْهُ، أَوْ قَالَ: أَقْصَعَتْهُ فَمَاتَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " اغْسِلُوهُ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ، وَكَفِّنُوهُ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ " أَوْ قَالَ: " فِي ثَوْبَيْهِ، وَلَا تُحَنِّطُوهُ، وَلَا تُخَمِّرُوا رَأْسَهُ؛ فَإِنَّ اللهَ يَبْعَثُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُلَبِّي ". رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، وَرَوَاهُ حَمَّادٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ وَعَمْرٍو، وَقَالَ: " فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that at Arafah a man was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on his she-camel; it threw him and he died. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Wash him with water and lote-tree (leaves), and shroud him in two garments," or he said: "in his two garments; do not apply perfume to him and do not cover his head, for Allah Almighty will raise him on the Day of Resurrection while he is reciting the talbiyah."
