وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُؤَمَّلِ، ثنا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ، أنبأ يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ، فَذَكَرَهُ بِمَعْنَاهُ وَقَالَ: فَوَضَعْتُ يَدِي عَلَيْهِ. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَغَيْرِهِ عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ، وَأَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ مِنْ أَوْجُهٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ.
Ya'la bin Ubayd (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Al-A'mash (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated the hadith to us and mentioned something similar, and he said: I placed my hand on him (peace and blessings be upon him).
