أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الرَّزَّازُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، ثنا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، وَحُمَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْكَارِزِيُّ، أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، وَيُونُسَ، وَثَابِتٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكَرَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أِيُّ النَّاسِ خَيْرٌ؟ قَالَ: " مَنْ طَالَ عُمُرُهُ، وَحَسُنَ عَمَلُهُ "، قِيلَ فَأِيُّ النَّاسِ شَرٌّ؟ قَالَ: " مَنْ طَالَ عُمُرُهُ، وَسَاءَ عَمَلُهُ ".
Al-Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man said: O Messenger of Allah, which people are best? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one whose life is long and whose deeds are good." Then it was said to him (peace and blessings be upon him): Which people are worst? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one whose life is long and whose deeds are bad."
