Amrah narrates from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that a Jewish woman came to her and began asking (and supplicated for her): May Allah grant you refuge from the punishment of the grave. Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I said: O Messenger of Allah! Will we be punished in our graves? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said a word: "I seek refuge with Allah from that." Then one day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out riding with a party, and the sun was eclipsed. Then I and other women came out of the apartment. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) hurried back from the party and stood at his place of prayer. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said the takbir and stood for a long time. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed a long bowing. Then he raised his head from the bowing and stood for a long time, somewhat less than the first standing. Then he performed a long bowing, somewhat less than the first bowing. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his head from the bowing and performed a long prostration. Then he raised his head from the prostration, then performed a long prostration, which was less than the first prostration. Then he did the same the second time. This prayer of his (peace and blessings be upon him) consisted of four bowings and four prostrations. She says: After that I heard him (peace and blessings be upon him) seeking refuge from the punishment of the grave, and he said: "You will be put to trial in your graves like the trial of the Masih, or like the trial of the Dajjal."
