(a) Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites Surah al-Kahf on the day of Friday, there will be light for him between the two Fridays." Yazid bin Makhlad bin Yazid narrated it from Hushaym and said in its text: "there will be light for him from where he is up to the Ancient House (the House of Allah)."
(b) Sa'id bin Mansur narrated it from Hushaym as mawquf (a statement of Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him)) and said: "between him and the Ancient House." Al-Thawri also narrated it with the same meaning from Abu Hashim as mawquf.
