أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أنبأ جَرِيرٌ، ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو صَالِحِ بْنُ أَبِي طَاهِرٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، أنبا جَدِّي يَحْيَى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أنبأ جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْتَشِرِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ مَوْلَى النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ بِـ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى، وَهَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ. وَإِذَا اجْتَمَعَ الْجُمُعَةُ وَالْعِيدُ فِي يَوْمٍ وَاحِدٍ قَرَأَ بِهِمَا جَمِيعًا فِي الْجُمُعَةِ وَالْعِيدِ ". رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَإِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ.
Habib bin Salim, the freed slave of al-Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him), narrates from al-Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite in the Friday prayer on Friday "Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High" [Surah al-A'la: 1] and "Has the report of the Overwhelming Event reached you?" [Surah al-Ghashiyah: 1]. And when Friday and Eid fell on the same day, he recited these surahs in both the Friday prayer and the Eid prayer.
