وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصَمُّ، أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ، أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ قَالَ: وَأَخْبَرَنِي الثِّقَةُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ كَتَبَ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْمِيَاهِ فِيمَا بَيْنَ الشَّامِ إِلَى مَكَّةَ: " جَمِّعُوا إِذَا بَلَغْتُمْ أَرْبَعِينَ ".
Sulayman bin Musa (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Umar bin Abd al-Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) sent this order to the people living at the watering places between Sham and Makkah: When you reach the number of forty, pray the Friday prayer.
