أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْمَحْبُوبِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، ثنا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، أنبأ شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، فِي جِنَازَةِ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ يَقُولُ: " إِنْ لَمْ تُصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى تُطْفِلَ الشَّمْسُ فَلَا تُصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى تَغِيبَ ".
Abu Bakr bin Hafs (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) say at the funeral of Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him): "If you do not pray over him before the sun begins to set, then do not pray over him until it has set."
