باب: : أينما أدركتك الصلاة فصل فهو مسجد وفي ذلك دلالة على أن أصل الأرض على الطهارة ما لم تعلم نجاسة

أنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ دَاوُدَ الْعَلَوِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو نَصْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَمْدَوَيْهِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ السِّنْجِيُّ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ سَيَّارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " فُضِّلْتُ بِأَرْبَعٍ: جُعِلَتْ لِيَ الْأَرْضُ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا، فَأَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي أَتَى الصَّلَاةَ، فَلَمْ يَجِدْ مَا يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ وَجَدَ الْأَرْضَ مَسْجِدًا، وَطَهُورًا، وَأُرْسِلْتُ إِلَى النَّاسِ كَافَّةً، وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ شَهْرَيْنِ يَسِيرُ بَيْنَ يَدِيَّ، وَأُحِلَّتْ لِيَ الْغَنَائِمُ " وَرُوِّينَاهُ فِي حَدِيثِ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been given preference through four things: the earth has been made a mosque and a means of purification for me. If any man of my Ummah comes to pray and finds nothing to pray on, he will find the earth a mosque and a means of purification. I have been sent to all people. I have been helped by awe from a distance of two months' journey, and the spoils of war have been made lawful for me."
