أنبأ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بِشْرَانَ، قَالَا: ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا سَعْدَانُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّمِيمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أِيُّ مَسْجِدٍ وُضِعَ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَوَّلًا؟ قَالَ: " الْمَسْجِدُ الْحَرَامُ " قَالَ: قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ أِيُّ؟ قَالَ: " ثُمَّ الْمَسْجِدُ الْأَقْصَى " قَالَ: قُلْتُ: كَمْ بَيْنَهُمَا؟ قَالَ: " أَرْبَعُونَ سَنَةً فَأَيْنَمَا أَدْرَكَتْكَ الصَّلَاةُ فَصَلِّ فَهُوَ مَسْجِدٌ " رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ أَبِي كُرَيْبٍ وَغَيْرِهِ، عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ، وَأَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْأَعْمَشِ.
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I asked: O Messenger of Allah, which mosque was built first on the earth? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Al-Masjid al-Haram." I said: Then which? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Al-Masjid al-Aqsa." I asked: How long was there between them? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Forty years. Wherever the time of prayer comes upon you, pray there, for that is a mosque."
