وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي خَالِدٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ قَيْسًا يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي حَازِمٍ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ: " صَحِبْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلَاثَ سِنِينَ ".
Qays bin Abi Hazim (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates: I heard Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: I remained in the company of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for three years.
