أَخْبَرَنَا الْإِمَامُ أَبُو الْفَتْحِ الْعُمَرِيُّ، أنبأ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الشُّرَيْحِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ الْبَغَوِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ، أنبأ شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ عَرْفَجَةَ قَالَ: " صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ صَلَاةَ الْفَجْرِ فَلَمْ يَقْنُتْ وَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَ عَلِيٍّ فَقَنَتَ".
Arfajah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I prayed the Fajr prayer behind Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) and he did not recite qunut, and I prayed behind Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and he recited qunut.
