وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نَصْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ، أنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ السَّرَّاجُ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، أنبأ شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ مَطَرِ بْنِ خَلِيفَةَ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ الْكَاهِلِيِّ قَالَ: كَأَنِّي أَسْمَعُ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي الْفَجْرِ حِينَ قَنَتَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: " اللهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْتَعِينُكَ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُكَ ".
Abd al-Rahman bin Suwayd al-Kahili narrates: It is as though I can see Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) reciting qunut in the Fajr prayer: 'Allahumma inna nasta'inuka wa nastaghfiruk' (O Allah, we seek Your help and we ask Your forgiveness).
