Bayhaqi 2486 — The Sunnah of lengthening the first rak'ah
اُردوEn
وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنبأ مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: فَظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ يُرِيدُ بِذَلِكَ أَنْ يُدْرِكَ النَّاسُ الرَّكْعَةَ الْأُولَى.
Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father (may Allah be pleased with him): We think that he (peace and blessings be upon him) lengthened the first rak'ah so that the people could catch the first rak'ah.
