Bayhaqi 2358 — Seeking refuge after the opening supplication

It is narrated from al-Aswad bin Yazid that when Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) began the prayer, he would say: 'Allahu akbar', then he would say: 'Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika, tabaraka ismuka, wa ta'ala jadduka, wa la ilaha ghayruk' (O Allah, You are free of all imperfection and I remember You with Your praise; Your name is blessed, Your majesty is exalted, and there is no true god besides You).
Then he would seek refuge with Allah from Satan the accursed, then he would recite whatever he wished of the Qur'an.
