Bayhaqi 21749 — The inheritance and clientage of the mukatab

Sa'id bin al-Musayyib and Abu Salamah bin Abd al-Rahman (may Allah have mercy on them both) said regarding a man who makes a contract of manumission with his slave, then dies, leaving behind sons and women, and the mukatab pays his contract to them: They both said: The wala' goes only to the men, not to the women.
