Bayhaqi 21748 — The inheritance and clientage of the mukatab

Abd al-Malik bin Abi Sulayman (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Ata' (may Allah have mercy on him) regarding a man who died, having a mukatab slave, and the deceased had sons and daughters: Women and men will inherit from what he (the mukatab) owes, but women inherit nothing of the wala' except of those whom they themselves contracted with or freed.
