أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا حِبَّانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، قَالَ: طَلَّقَ مُكَاتَبٌ امْرَأَتَهُ عَلَى عَهْدِ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، فَأَنْزَلَهُ مَنْزِلَةَ الْعَبْدِ ".
Sa'id bin al-Musayyab (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a mukatab slave divorced his wife in the time of Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), and he treated him as a slave.
