أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أنبأ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أنبأ حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا أَصَابَ الْمُكَاتَبُ حَدًّا أَوْ مِيرَاثًا، وَرِثَ بِحِسَابِ مَا عَتَقَ مِنْهُ وَأُقِيمَ عَلَيْهِ الْحَدُّ بِحِسَابِ مَا عَتَقَ مِنْهُ ".
Ikrimah narrates from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the mukatab becomes liable to a prescribed punishment (hadd) or entitled to an inheritance, he will inherit in proportion to the part of him that has been freed, and the hadd will be applied to him in proportion to the part of him that has been freed."
