باب: : الولاء للكبر من عصبة المعتق، وهو الأقرب فالأقرب منهم بالمعتق، إذا كان قد مات المعتق.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ يَعْنِي: مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ نَصْرٍ ثنا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ آدَمَ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ ⦗٥١٢⦘ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْجُمَحِيِّ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الْمَوْلَى أَخٌ فِي الدِّينِ، وَنِعْمَةٌ، وَأَحَقُّ النَّاسِ بِمِيرَاثِهِ أَقْرَبُهُمْ مِنَ الْمُعْتِقِ ".
Al-Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The freed slave is a brother in religion and a blessing. The most entitled of people to his inheritance is the one closest to the one who freed him."
