أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أنبأ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أنبأ سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: " الصَّدَقَةُ وَالسَّائِبَةُ لِيَوْمِهِمَا "..
Abu Uthman al-Nahdi (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) stated: Charity and the sa'ibah are for one day (i.e. for the Day of Resurrection).
