وَفِيمَا أَجَازَ لِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ رِوَايَتَهُ عَنْهُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ، أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ، أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ، أنبأ سُفْيَانُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو طُوَالَةَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَعْمَرٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ سَالِمٌ مَوْلَى أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ مَوْلًى لِامْرَأَةٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ يُقَالُ لَهَا عَمْرَةُ بِنْتُ يَعَارٍ أَعْتَقَتْهُ سَائِبَةً، فَقُتِلَ يَوْمَ الْيَمَامَةِ، فَأَتَى أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِمِيرَاثِهِ، فَقَالَ: " أَعْطُوهُ عَمْرَةَ "، فَأَبَتْ أَنْ تَقْبَلَهُ..
Abu Tuwalah Abdullah bin Abd al-Rahman bin Ma'mar (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Salim (may Allah be pleased with him), the freed slave of Abu Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him), was the freed slave of a woman of the Ansar named Amrah bint Ya'ar (may Allah be pleased with her). She had freed him as a sa'ibah. He was martyred on the day of Yamamah. His inheritance was brought to Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said: Give it to Amrah. But she refused to accept it.
