قَالَ: وَأنبأ يَزِيدُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلَاءِ فَقَالَ: " أَيَبِيعُ الرَّجُلُ نَسَبَهُ؟ ".
Abdullah bin Ma'qil says that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about selling wala', and he said: Is lineage ever sold?
