أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، ثنا أَزْهَرُ السَّمَّانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ عَبْدٌ بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ، فَأَعْتَقَ أَحَدُهُمَا نَصِيبَهُ، فَرَكِبَ شَرِيكُهُ إِلَى عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، فَكَتَبَ: " أَنْ يُقَوَّمَ أَغْلَى الْقِيمَةِ ".
Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a slave belonged to two men and one of them freed his share. His partner rode to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and he wrote that the highest value of the slave should be fixed.
