Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said that Hind bint Utbah said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! By Allah, there was no household on the face of the earth whose humiliation I loved more than that of your household (peace and blessings be upon him); then today there is no household on the face of the earth whose honour I love more than that of your household (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And likewise (with me), by the One in whose hand is my soul!" Then she said: O Messenger of Allah! Abu Sufyan is a miserly man; is there any sin on me if I feed his dependants from his wealth? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Feed them reasonably."
