Abd al-Rahman bin Muhammad bin Habib bin Abi Habib narrates from his father, from his grandfather: I came to Khalid bin Abdullah al-Qasri, and he delivered the Eid al-Adha sermon in the city of Wasit. He said: O people! Go and offer your sacrifices; may Allah accept your sacrifices. As for me, I will sacrifice al-Ja'd bin Dirham, for he claims that Allah did not take Ibrahim (peace be upon him) as His close friend, and that He did not speak to Musa (peace be upon him). Glory be to Him, and exalted is He above what al-Ja'd bin Dirham says. Then he came down from the pulpit and slaughtered him. Abu Raja' (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Jahm took this doctrine from al-Ja'd bin Dirham.
