أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ أَبِي حَامِدٍ الْمُقْرِئُ قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنِ الزَّنْجِيِّ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْعَلَاءَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ يَذْكُرُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا تَجُوزُ شَهَادَةُ ذِي الْخَلَّةِ وَلَا ذِي الْجِنَّةِ، وَلَا ذِي الْحِنَةِ الْمَحْقُودِ ". كَذَا قَالَ.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The testimony of a close friend, a madman, and one who harbours rancour shall not be accepted either."
