Sayyiduna Sa'd bin al-Atwal (may Allah be pleased with him) said that his brother died and left three hundred dirhams and a family. He said: I wanted to spend it on his family, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your brother is held back because of his debt, so pay it off on his behalf." I said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I have paid it off for him, except for two dinars that a woman claimed, and she has no evidence." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give them to her, for she is in the right."
(b) In the narration of Abd al-Wahid: "Give them to her, for she is truthful."
