أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نَصْرِ بْنُ قَتَادَةَ، أنبأ أَبُو مَنْصُورٍ النَّضْرَوِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَرِيفٍ، عَنْ ⦗٢٢٥⦘ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَسَمَ شَيْئًا، فَدَعَا رَجُلًا يَحْسِبُ، فَقِيلَ: لَوْ أَعْطَيْتَهُ شَيْئًا؟ قَالَ: إِنْ شَاءَ، وَهُوَ سُحْتٌ.
Musa bin Tarif narrates from his father that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) distributed something and called a man to do the reckoning. It was said: "If only you had given him something!" He said: "If he wishes, though it is unlawful."
