وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْقَطَّانُ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْلَمَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا نَضْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَذَكَرَهُ. قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ وَذَاكَ الَّذِي حَمَلَنِي عَلَى أَنْ رَحَلْتُ إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ، فَمَلَأْتُ مَسَامِعَهُ، ثُمَّ رَجَعْتُ.
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, and then he mentioned the matter. Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: This is what moved me to travel to Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him). I discussed (the matter) with him, then I returned.
