وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نُعَيْمٍ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ قَالَا: ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: لَمَّا فَتَحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْبَرَ أَصَبْنَا حُمُرًا خَارِجًا مِنَ الْقَرْيَةَ فَطَبَخْنَاهَا، فَنَادَى مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَلَا إِنَّ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ يَنْهَيَانِكُمْ عَنْهَا فَإِنَّهَا رِجْسٌ مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ، فَأُكْفِئَتِ الْقُدُورُ بِمَا فِيهَا وَإِنَّهَا لَتَفُورُ بِمَا فِيهَا. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَرَ، وَأَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَى لَفْظِ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ: فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فَنَادَى، وَالتَّعْلِيلُ الْمَنْقُولُ فِيهِ يَدُلُّ عَلَى التَّحْرِيمِ، وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ.
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) conquered Khaybar, we came upon donkeys outside the town, which we slaughtered and began to cook. Then the caller of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) announced: "Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) forbid you from eating the meat of donkeys, for it is filth from the work of Satan." So the pots, boiling with the meat, were overturned.
