Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) was at a place in Makkah called al-Sifah. A man brought a hare he had hunted and said: "O Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both), what is your view about it?" He said: I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when a hare was brought to him (peace and blessings be upon him), but he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not eat it, nor did he forbid eating it. And he claimed that it menstruates.
