أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ الْحَافِظُ، أنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ ⦗٥٩٧⦘ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَيْرُوتِيُّ بِبَيْرُوتَ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سُوَيْدٍ الرَّمْلِيَّ، حَدَّثَنِي الْوَلِيدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ النَّضْرِ، حَدَّثَنِي الْقَاسِمُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ غُصْنٍ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ الْفَارِسِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ يَكُونُ بِأَرْضِ فَيْءٍ فَيُؤَذِّنُ بِحَضْرَةِ الصَّلَاةِ وَيُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ فَيُصَلِّي إِلَّا صَفَّ خَلْفَهُ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ مَا لَا يُرَى قُطْرَاهُ يَرْكَعُونَ بِرُكُوعِهِ وَيَسْجُدُونَ بِسُجُودِهِ وَيُؤَمِّنُونَ عَلَى دُعَائِهِ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a man in a land of shade gives the adhan at the time of prayer, gives the iqamah for the prayer and prays, angels form a row behind him whose ends cannot be seen; they bow with his bowing, prostrate with his prostration and say Amin to his supplication."
