أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ إِمْلَاءً، ثنا أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، وَالْحَدِيثُ لِمُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، أَذَّنَ لَيْلَةً بِالْعِشَاءِ بِضَجْنَانَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ بَارِدَةٍ وَقَالَ عَلَى إِثْرِ ذَلِكَ: أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ، وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ مُؤَذِّنًا أَنْ يُؤَذِّنَ عَلَى إِثْرِ ذَلِكَ: أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْبَارِدَةِ أَوِ الْمَطِيرَةِ فِي السَّفَرِ " رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ مُسَدَّدٍ وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ.
Nafi' narrated that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) gave the adhan for the Isha prayer on a cold night at a place called Dajnan, and after it he said: "Listen! Pray in your dwellings." And he told us that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to order the mu'adhdhin to say these words after the adhan: "On a cold or rainy night during a journey, pray in your dwellings."
