أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا أُسَيْدُ بْنُ عَاصمٍ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ، قَالَ: " أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي قُبَّةٍ حَمْرَاءَ بِالْأَبْطَحِ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا بِلَالٌ بِفَضْلِ وُضُوءِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَبَيْنَ نَائِلٍ وَنَاضِحٍ مِنْهُ قَالَ: فَأَذَّنَ بِلَالٌ فَجَعَلْتُ أَتْبَعُ فَاهُ هَاهُنَا وَهَاهُنَا.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Juhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him): I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was in a red domed tent at al-Abtah. Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) came out to us with the leftover water from the ablution of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and we were splashing ourselves with the water when he gave the adhan; I began following his mouth this way and that.
