It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that the she-camel al-Adba' belonged to a man of Banu Uqayl, and it was one of the camels that outran the pilgrims. The man was taken captive and the she-camel was seized. The narrator said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by him while he was bound. Then the man was ransomed in exchange for two men, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept the she-camel al-Adba' for his own riding. Then the polytheists raided the grazing livestock of Madinah and took it away, and al-Adba' was among those animals. They also took a Muslim woman captive, and then the narrator mentioned the account of that woman's return.
