Bayhaqi 17353 — Reports explaining the wine whose prohibition

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I was standing serving drink to the clan, to my uncles, and I was the youngest of them in age, from a fadikh (a drink of crushed unripe dates) of theirs. A man came and said: Wine has been made unlawful. They said: Pour it out, O Anas. So I poured it out. Anas was asked: What was their drink? He said: Fresh ripe dates and unripe dates. Abu Bakr bin Anas said, while Anas was present: That was their wine at that time; and Anas did not object to that.
