Abdullah bin al-Mubarak likewise narrated it from Yunus, from al-Zuhri, who said: Urwah bin al-Zubayr informed me that a woman stole in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he mentioned the hadith up to his words: Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave orders concerning that woman, and her hand was cut off. After that her repentance was good and she married. Aishah said: She used to come to me after that, and I would convey her need to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
Shabib narrated it with the same meaning from Yunus, except that he narrated its last part (about the repentance) from al-Zuhri, from al-Qasim bin Muhammad, from Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her). And al-Layth bin Sa'd narrated it from al-Zuhri, from Urwah, from Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), that Quraysh were troubled by the matter of the Makhzumi woman who stole; then he mentioned the hadith up to his words: "By Allah, if Fatimah bint Muhammad were to steal, I would cut off her hand." And it has already been mentioned.
