وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو النَّضْرِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ الْفَقِيهُ، ثنا صَالِحُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو مُوسَى إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: " أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسَارِقٍ فَأَمَرَ بِقَطْعِ يَدِهِ، ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِهِ قَدْ سَرَقَ فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فَقَطَعَ رِجْلَهُ، ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِهِ بَعْدُ وَقَدْ سَرَقَ فَأَمَرَ بِقَطْعِ يَدِهِ الْيُسْرَى، ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِهِ قَدْ سَرَقَ فَأَمَرَ بِقَطْعِ رِجْلِهِ الْيُمْنَى، ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِهِ قَدْ سَرَقَ فَأَمَرَ بِقَتْلِهِ " ⦗٤٧٤⦘ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ.
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A thief was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he ordered that his hand be cut off. Then he was brought, having stolen again, and he gave the order and his foot was cut off. Then he was brought after that, having stolen, and he ordered that his left hand be cut off. Then he was brought, having stolen, and he ordered that his right foot be cut off. Then he was brought, having stolen, and he ordered that he be killed.
