أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى شُعَيْبِ بْنِ اللَّيْثِ: أَخْبَرَكَ أَبُوكَ، عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ مَنْظُورِ بْنِ زَيَّانَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ، تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً وَلَمْ يَمَسَّهَا ثُمَّ زَنَى، فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ: السُّنَّةُ فِيهِ أَنْ يُجْلَدَ وَلَا يُرْجَمَ.
Sa'id bin al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked about a man who married but did not have intercourse with his wife, and then committed adultery. He said: The Sunnah in this case is that he be flogged and not stoned.
