أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو الْأَدِيبُ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيُّ، أَخَبَرنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ وَعِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَا: ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، أنا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ شَاهِينَ ثنا خَالِدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ يَعْنِي الْحَذَّاءَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اعْتَكَفَ فَاعْتَكَفَتْ مَعَهُ بَعْضُ نِسَائِهِ وَهِيَ مُسْتَحَاضَةٌ تَرَى الدَّمَ فَرُبَّمَا وُضِعَتِ الطَّسْتُ تَحْتَهَا مِنَ الدَّمِ وَزَعَمَ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ رَأَتْ مَاءَ الْعُصْفُرِ فَقَالَتْ: كَانَ هَذَا شَيْئًا كَانَتْ فُلَانَةُ تَجِدُهُ " لَفْظُ وَهْبٍ وَحَدِيثُ إِسْحَاقَ مِثْلُهُ سَوَاءٌ رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ شَاهِينَ.
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed i'tikaf, and one of his wives also performed i'tikaf with him (peace and blessings be upon him) while she had prolonged bleeding (istihadah). She would see blood, and sometimes she would place a large basin beneath herself because of the blood. (b) The narrator claimed that Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) saw water coloured with safflower and said: This is like what so-and-so used to experience.
