أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ، ثنا عَفَّانُ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ثنا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: اعْتَكَفَتْ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِهِ مُسْتَحَاضَةٌ وَكَانَتْ تَرَى الْحُمْرَةَ وَالصُّفْرَةَ فَرُبَّمَا وَضَعْنَا الطَّسْتَ تَحْتَهَا وَهِيَ تُصَلِّي " رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ قُتَيْبَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ زُرَيْعٍ.
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that one of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed i'tikaf with him (peace and blessings be upon him) while she had prolonged bleeding (istihadah). She would see redness and yellowness, and sometimes we would place a basin beneath her while she prayed.
