فَأَمَّا الْحَدِيثُ الَّذِي أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ نا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ نا الْعَبَّاسُ الدُّورِيُّ، نا مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ قَالَتْ: لَمَّا أُصِيبَ جَعْفَرٌ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " تَسَلْبَنِي ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ اصْنَعِي مَا شِئْتِ " ⦗٧٢١⦘ فَلَمْ يَثْبُتْ سَمَاعُ عَبْدِ اللهِ مِنْ أَسْمَاءَ وَقَدْ قِيلَ فِيهِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ فَهُوَ مُرْسَلٌ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ لَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيِّ وَالْأَحَادِيثُ قَبْلَهُ أَثْبَتُ فَالْمَصِيرُ إِلَيْهَا أَوْلَى وَبِاللهِ التَّوْفِيقُ.
It is narrated from Asma' bint Umays (may Allah be pleased with her): When Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed me: "Observe mourning for three days, then do as you wish."
Abdullah (bin Shaddad)'s hearing from Asma' is not established; it has also been said in it 'from Asma'', so it is mursal. Muhammad bin Talhah is not strong, and the hadiths before it are more firmly established, so following them is more appropriate.
