وَأَمَّا الْحَدِيثُ الَّذِي أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، نا عَبَّاسٌ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ، وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْقَاضِي، ح وَأنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْقَاضِي قَالَا: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " ذُكِرَ الْمُتَلَاعِنَانِ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ فِي ذَلِكَ قَوْلًا، فَانْصَرَفَ فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ فَذَكَرَ لَهُ أَنَّهُ وَجَدَ مَعَ امْرَأَتِهِ رَجُلًا، فَقَالَ عَاصِمٌ: مَا ابْتُلِيتُ بِهَذَا إِلَّا بِقَوْلِي، فَجَاءَ بِهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرَهُ بِالَّذِي وَجَدَ عَلَيْهِ امْرَأَتَهُ، وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلُ مُصْفَرًّا قَلِيلَ اللَّحْمِ سَبِطَ الشَّعْرِ، وَكَانَ الَّذِي ادَّعَى أَنَّهُ وَجَدَ عِنْدَ أَهْلِهِ آدَمَ خَدْلًا كَثِيرَ اللَّحْمِ جَعْدًا قَطَطًا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " اللهُمَّ بَيِّنْ " فَوَضَعَتْ شَبِيهًا بِالَّذِي ذَكَرَ زَوْجُهَا أَنَّهُ وَجَدَهُ عِنْدَهَا " فَلَاعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَهُمَا " فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي الْمَجْلِسِ: هِيَ الَّتِي قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَوْ رَجَمْتُ أَحَدًا بِغَيْرِ بَيِّنَةٍ لَرَجَمْتُ هَذِهِ "، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا: لَا، تِلْكَ امْرَأَةٌ كَانَتْ تُظْهِرُ السُّوءَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ. رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ، وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ يُوسُفَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ. قَالَ الشَّيْخُ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ: فَهَذِهِ الرِّوَايَةُ تُوهِمُ أَنَّهُ لَاعَنَ بَيْنَهُمَا بَعْدَ الْوَضْعِ وَقَدْ يَحْتَمِلُ ⦗٦٦٨⦘ أَنْ يَكُونَ بَعْضُ رُوَاتِهِ قَدَّمَ حِكَايَةً وَضَعَهَا فِي الرِّوَايَةِ عَلَى حِكَايَةِ اللِّعَانِ فَهَذِهِ قِصَّةُ عُوَيْمِرٍ الْعَجْلَانِيِّ، وَقَدْ رُوِّينَا عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ فِي قِصَّةِ عُوَيْمِرٍ الْعَجْلَانِيِّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَاعَنَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ امْرَأَتِهِ وَكَانَتْ حَامِلًا، وَرَوَى ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ هَذِهِ الْقِصَّةَ وَقَدَّمَ رِوَايَةَ اللِّعَانِ عَلَى حِكَايَةِ الْوَضْعِ نَحْوَ رِوَايَةِ الْجَمَاعَةِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ تَرَكَ مِنْ إِسْنَادِهِ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ الْقَاسِمِ.
Al-Qasim bin Muhammad narrates from Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the two who performed li'an were mentioned in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and Asim bin Adi said something about it, then he left. Then a man from his people came to him and mentioned that he had found a man with his wife. Asim said: I have been tested with this only because of what I said. So he brought him to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he told him of the state in which he had found his wife. This man was pale yellow, lean and straight-haired, and the man whom he claimed (to have found with her) was wheat-brown, heavily built and curly-haired. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allahumma bayyin (O Allah, make the matter clear)." Then the woman gave birth to a child resembling the man whom her husband had mentioned. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had li'an performed between them. A man in the gathering said to Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): Was she the woman about whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If I were to stone anyone without evidence, it would be this woman"? Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: No, that was another woman, who used to display evil openly in Islam.
Al-Shaykh (may Allah have mercy on him) says: These narrations give the impression that the li'an was carried out after the delivery, and it is also possible that some narrators related the account of the delivery first and the li'an afterwards. This is the story of Uwaymir al-Ajlani.
(b) Al-Zuhri narrates from Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had li'an performed between them while his wife was pregnant.
Ibn Jurayj narrated this story from Yahya bin Sa'id and placed the li'an before the account of the delivery, like the narration of the group, except that he left Abd al-Rahman bin al-Qasim out of its chain.
