باب: ما جاء في قول الله عز وجل: وإن امرأة خافت من بعلها نشوزا أو إعراضا فلا جناح عليهما أن يصلحا بينهما صلحا والصلح خير
Chapter: Reports on the saying of Allah the Mighty and Majestic: "And if a woman fears ill-treatment or aversion from her husband, there is no sin on them if they make a settlement between them, and settlement is best"

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ، أنا الرَّبِيعُ، أنا الشَّافِعِيُّ، أنا مُسْلِمٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " تُوُفِّيَ عَنْ تِسْعِ نِسْوَةٍ وَكَانَ يَقْسِمُ لِثَمَانٍ ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, he (peace and blessings be upon him) had nine wives, and he used to allot turns to eight.
