أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ، أنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، نا مُسَدَّدٌ، نا بِشْرُ بْنُ المُفَضَّلِ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ ذَكْوَانَ، عَنِ الرُّبَيِّعِ بِنْتِ مُعَوِّذِ ابْنِ عَفْرَاءَ قَالَتْ: جَاءَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ صَبِيحَةَ بُنِيَ بِي فَجَلَسَ عَلَى فِرَاشِي كَمَجْلِسِكَ مِنِّي فَجَعَلَتْ جُوَيْرِيَاتٌ يَضْرِبْنَ الدُّفَّ لَهُنَّ وَيَنْدُبْنَ مَنْ قُتِلَ مِنْ آبَائِي يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ إِلَى أَنْ قَالَتْ إِحْدَاهُنَّ:.
Sayyidah Rubayyi' bint Mu'awwidh bin Afra' (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me on the morning I was sent to my husband, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) sat on my bed just as you are sitting, and some young girls began beating the duff, lamenting those of my forefathers who were killed at Badr. One of the girls said: Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) knows what will happen tomorrow. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Leave this, and say what you were saying before."
