أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، ح قَالَ: وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا أَبُو كَامِلٍ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، ثنا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ غَزِيَّةَ، ثنا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سَبْرَةَ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ غَزَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ فَأَقَامَ بِهَا خَمْسًا وَثَلَاثِينَ بَيْنَ لَيْلَةٍ وَيَوْمٍ قَالَ: " فَأَذِنَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مُتْعَةِ النِّسَاءِ، فَخَرَجْتُ أَنَا وَرَجُلٌ مِنْ قَوْمِي وَلِي عَلَيْهِ فَضْلٌ فِي الْجَمَالِ، وَهُوَ قَرِيبٌ مِنَ الدَّمَامَةِ، مَعَ كُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنَّا بُرْدٌ، أَمَّا بُرْدِي فَخَلَقٌ، وَأَمَّا بُرْدُ ابْنِ عَمِّي فَبُرْدٌ جَدِيدٌ غَضٌّ، حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا بِأَسْفَلِ مَكَّةَ أَوْ بِأَعْلَاهَا فَتَلَقَّتْنَا فَتَاةٌ مِثْلُ الْبَكْرَةِ الْعَنَطْنَطَةِ فَقُلْنَا: هَلْ لَكِ أَنْ يَسْتَمْتِعَ مِنْكِ أَحَدُنَا؟ قَالَتْ: وَمَا تَبْذُلَانِ؟ قَالَ: فَنَشَرَ كُلٌّ مِنَّا بُرْدَهُ فَجَعَلَتْ تَنْظُرُ إِلَى الرَّجُلَيْنِ فَإِذَا رَآهَا صَاحِبِي تَنْظُرُ إِلَى عِطْفِهَا وَقَالَ: إِنَّ بُرْدَ هَذَا خَلَقٌ مَحٌّ وَبُرْدِي هَذَا جَدِيدٌ غَضٌّ، فَتَقُولُ: وَبُرْدُ هَذَا لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ، ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ اسْتَمْتَعْتُ مِنْهَا، فَلَمْ نَخْرُجْ حَتَّى حَرَّمَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "، لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ مُسَدَّدٍ. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ أَبِي كَامِلٍ.
Al-Rabi' bin Sabrah (may Allah have mercy on him) said that his father (may Allah be pleased with him) took part in the campaign of the conquest of Makkah with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: We stayed in Makkah for thirty-five (counting) nights and days, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted mut'ah marriage. A man of my people and I went out; I was more handsome than him, and he was close to being ugly. We each had a cloak; my cloak was old, while my cousin's cloak was new. When we reached the upper or lower part of Makkah, we met a young woman. We said: "Would you let one of us enjoy you, that is, make a mut'ah marriage with you?" She said: "What will the two of you spend?" So both of them spread out their cloaks, and she looked at the two men. When she looked at my companion, her gaze turned away. He said: This man's cloak is old, and my cloak is new and fine. She said: "There is nothing wrong with his cloak." She said this two or three times. Then I made mut'ah with her, and I stayed with her until it was made unlawful.
