Al-Rabi' bin Sabrah al-Juhani narrates from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted mut'ah marriage. He said: Another man and I went to a woman of Banu Amir who was like a long-necked young she-camel. We offered ourselves to her. She said: What will you give me? I said: My cloak; and my companion also said his cloak. But my companion's cloak was finer than mine, and I was younger than him. When the woman looked at my companion's cloak she liked it, and when she looked at me I appealed to her. Then she said: You and your cloak are enough for me. I stayed with her for three days. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has a woman of mut'ah marriage with him, let him set her free."
